Terms & Conditions
Signature Canines Ltd – Terms & Conditions (Mobile Grooming Service)
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Signature Canines Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms set out below.
1. Mobile Grooming Service
Signature Canines Ltd provides a fully mobile dog grooming service, delivered at your home or agreed location using our specialist mobile grooming facility.
Each appointment is carried out on a one-to-one basis, ensuring your dog receives calm, focused, and professional care in a low-stress environment.
2. Bookings
All bookings are made via our online system and are subject to availability.
You may amend your appointment once only, provided:
-
The request is made at least 3 days before your original appointment
-
An alternative date is available
We reserve the right to adjust timing, duration, or pricing where changes to the booking are accepted. Requests may be declined where availability or operational constraints prevent us from accommodating them.
No amendment fee applies where the above conditions are met.
3. Cancellations & No-Shows
Appointments may be cancelled free of charge with at least 3 days’ notice.
Cancellations made within 3 days of the appointment, or failure to attend, will incur a charge equal to the full grooming fee.
This fee must be settled in full prior to any future bookings being confirmed.
4. Payments
Payment is due upon completion of the groom unless otherwise agreed in advance.
We accept:
-
Cash
-
Bank transfer (BACS)
Where payment is made via bank transfer, funds must be received and confirmed prior to the release of your dog.
If additional grooming is required due to coat condition or unforeseen circumstances not reasonably identifiable at the time of booking, additional charges may apply. Where possible, we will inform you before proceeding.
5. Appointment Times & Punctuality
We operate strictly by appointment.
We recommend your dog is ready at least 5 minutes before the scheduled arrival time.
If we are unable to gain access or you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, we may need to reschedule your appointment.
Grooming durations vary depending on breed, coat condition, and service required, typically ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 hours or longer.
You will be notified as your dog’s groom nears completion so collection can be arranged promptly.
6. Health & Welfare
By booking, you confirm that your dog is fit, healthy, and suitable for grooming.
Grooming of elderly, medical, or vulnerable dogs is undertaken at the owner’s risk.
We cannot accept responsibility for allergic reactions or sensitivities to grooming products; however, we will always use professional-grade products and adjust where known sensitivities are disclosed.
It is your responsibility to inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioural concerns prior to the appointment.
7. Behaviour & Safety
We prioritise the safety and welfare of all dogs in our care.
We reserve the right to refuse or stop grooming if a dog displays aggressive, unsafe, or unmanageable behaviour.
Where necessary, a muzzle may be used for safety.
Please ensure any behavioural concerns are disclosed at the time of booking.
8. Grooming Risks
Grooming involves the use of sharp tools on moving animals. While every care is taken, minor nicks or accidents may occasionally occur.
In the unlikely event veterinary attention is required, all associated costs remain the responsibility of the owner.
9. Matted or Neglected Coats
Dogs presented with matted or severely tangled coats may require clipping or de-matting.
Removal of matting may reveal pre-existing skin conditions or result in temporary irritation, sensitivity, or redness.
We cannot accept liability for any pre-existing or resulting conditions following the humane removal of matting.
We will always advise if veterinary attention is recommended.
10. Fleas & Parasites
If fleas are discovered and were not disclosed prior to the appointment, a £25 cleaning and treatment fee will apply.
This covers sanitisation of equipment and the mobile grooming environment to prevent cross-contamination.
We strongly recommend treating both your pet and home environment following detection.
11. Ear Care
We do not perform ear plucking or internal ear hair removal.
For any ear-related grooming or medical concerns, please consult your veterinary surgeon for appropriate care and advice.
12. Anal Glands
We do not provide anal gland expression services. Please consult your veterinary surgeon for this treatment.
13. Groom Duration & Delays
All grooming times are provided as estimates based on experience.
We are not liable for delays caused by coat condition, behaviour, traffic, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Where possible, we will keep you informed of any changes to the expected completion time.
14. Photography & Marketing Consent
By booking an appointment, you grant Signature Canines Ltd permission to photograph your dog for professional and marketing use, including:

16. Complaints & Feedback
Should you have any concerns regarding your dog’s groom, please notify us within 24 hours of the appointment so we can review and resolve the matter promptly.
We always welcome direct communication before any public feedback, allowing us the opportunity to address concerns professionally and fairly.
17. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Signature Canines Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss of profit, data, or opportunity.
We are not responsible for issues arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
18. Force Majeure
We shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, illness, transport disruption, or other unforeseen circumstances.
In such cases, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments.
